Need for headphones

Several commenters complain about the need for headphones to hear the sounds. Heart sounds are low frequency; the first and second heart sounds are around 100 hz. Murmurs are somewhat higher. The tiny speakers in iphones and ipads are not capable of playing those sounds with any volume.

If you want to use this app in a lecture hall it can be done by buying a pair of powered speakers. They can be had for as little as $100 and are capable of filling an average sized lecture hall with sound.
